Director John Hughes, known for such movies as “The Breakfast Club” and “Pretty in Pink,” died of a heart attack Thursday at the age of 59. Read more on John Hughes’ death below.
Hughes was taking a morning walk in New York when he reportedly went into cardiac arrest. Hughes was in Manhattan visiting family.
John Hughes became famous for his hit movies including “Sixteen Candles,” “Home Alone” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” He made stars of actors like Molly Ringwald, Demi Moore and Andrew McCarthy.
John Hughes is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy,and his two sons John and James. Our condolences to his family.
