While Simon Cowell says that next season of The X Factor may see a fairly dramatic shake-up, there’s one element that’s definitely going to change things: After two seasons, Demi Lovato is supposedly leaving her position as a judge on the show.
PEOPLE reports that the songstress — who appeared on The X Factor, had a guest starring arc on Glee, released an album, promoted three singles, wrote a book, and went on tour this year, gulp — is stepping away from her responsibilities on the show to get back to what she’s really into: The music.
“She plans to spend next year completely focused on her music,” a source says. “She had a great run and a good time.”
Given that she’s also set to headline her first arena tour (!) next year, sounds like a wise move.
