One of David Letterman’s former interns, Holly Hester, revealed herself as Letterman’s former lover.  Holly Hester also says that David Letterman has a “restricted office” above the Ed Sullivan Theater. Who knew David Letterman was such a “playa”?  Read more on this story below.

Hester said she really had feelings for Letterman way back when…

“I was madly in love with him at the time,” said Holly Hester. “I would have married him. He was hilarious.”

Holly Hester, who was David’s intern who later went on to become a Hollywood producer, told TMZ her relationship with Letterman began in the 90’s when David asked her to the movies.

Hester and Letterman had a secret romance of about  a year until Letterman called it off due to their age difference.

Holly also revealed an interesting detail… that Letterman kept a little secret bedroom above  his talk show set in the Ed Sullivan Theater.  “He doesn’t have to come out,” a staffer said. “He has a suite upstairs.”

An ex-employee of David’s referred to the place as “the bunker” that was open only to his favorite female interns.

David’s little restricted office reportedly has a fold-out couch and a kitchen.

Letterman is known to come and go from the bachelor pad at all hours.

“If he is having an affair or fooling around with somebody at work, she wouldn’t be noticed coming in or out, or seen as something strange because she works there,” the source said.

A spokesman for etterman said the host simply sleeps on the fold-out couch on Mondays, when he drives from his weekend home in North Salem to the Broadway studio at 2 or 3 a.m.

Letterman stays at his TriBeCa apartment during the rest of the filming week, but he is also known among staff as a night owl and for keeping odd hours at his office.

Letterman is known to be very private but it seems his personal life is now out on display.

On Thursday night Letterman revealed to his viewers that he was the victim of a $2 million extortion plot and admitted on-air to sleeping with staff members.
