The former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai hospital. Read more on David Hasselhoff below.
David Hasselhoff suffered an alcohol-related seizure on Friday night and is now on an involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai hospital.
Hasselhoff was taken to the hospital on Friday in an ambulance and had been on a drinking binge for days before the incident.
Hasselhoff is now being held under the California Welfare and Institutions Code 5150 that allows authorities to take into custody persons they believe may be a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled or suffer from a mental disorder. Cedars-Sinai doctors agreed he needed to be admitted, and under Code 5151, hold him for up to 72 hours for a psychiatric evaluation.
The Hoff has battled alcoholism for many years and has been hospitalized at least five times for alcohol poisoning.
Hoff’s public relations team have tried to cover up the alcohol hospitalizations and incidents but things are so bad this time that Hasselhoff was reportedly very disoriented and didn’t recognize people who knows.
Let’s just hope David Hasselhoff will get the help he needs to kick his problems before it’s too late.
Hasselhoff’s ex-wife, Pamela Bach, was arrested for DUI last night after trying to comfort her daughters and then going out for dinner a obviously a few too many drinks.
