ABC revealed that Chris Cuomo is leaving “Good Morning America” to now co-host  “20/20.”  Read more on Chris Cuomo’s  new job below.

The news of Chris Cuomo  leaving GMA for the newsmagazine 20/20 paves the way for George Stephanopoulos to join “Good Morning America” as rumored.

Cuomo’s last day on “Good Morning America” will be Friday, the same day as co-host Diane Sawyer, who is replacing Charles Gibson on “World News.”

Chris Cuomo was considered the main competition for George Stephanopoulos to take over Diane Sawyer’s old job. Cuomo will be paired with Elizabeth Vargas on 20/20.
