Chelsea Clinton is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, and they plan to wed next summer. Read more on Chelsea and Marc below.
People magazine got their hands on the couple’s email to friends and family sharing their engagement news. The couple will marry next summer.
There were engagement rumors flying early this year but Hillary Clinton said they were false back in July.
Marc Mezvinsky is employed at Goldman Sachs and both of his parents are former members of Congress. Something of interest is that his father pleaded guilty in 2002 to swindling dozens of investors out of $10 million after getting caught up in a Nigerian scam. And his mother lost her seat in a conservative congressional district after just one term because she chose to vote for President Clinton’s health care reform. A match made in Heaven!
Marc and Chelsea became friends as teenagers in Washington and both attended Stanford University. The couple lives in New York where Mezvinsky is employed and Chelsea attends graduate school at Columbia University’s School of Public Health.
