Following the release of her debut True Romance earlier this year, Charli XCX logged some time writing for Britney Spears, opened for Paramore and still found time to write new material and release her new track “SuperLove.” Soon after the release of the fizzy, bright bit of electro-pop, Brooklyn indie band Yeasayer pared it back for their remix, offering up a version that is both more groove-centric and jittery.
And Charli must be a fan, since she stars in the official video for the remix, which was likewise stripped of the original clip’s peppy busyness. That initial visual was crammed with neon lights, robots and quick cuts, but this one is just Charli casually dancing in a warehouse in slow motion.
Both versions were directed by Charli’s dude Ryan Andrews. Check it out up top.
