Talk about celebrities and two things will usually come to mind — fame and money. We expect celebrities to not just be extremely famous but also swimming in money. I’m sure that you’re mental picture of a celebrity is one that is living the high life – jetsetting all over the globe, enjoying all of the great comforts and buying stuff left and right. It may be the expected profile of a celebrity but you’ll be surprised to know that there are many celebrities out there that actually know what the word “frugality” means and actually apply it in their lives.
There are many celebrities that have not allowed their fame and success to change how they view money. They have remained with feet firmly planted on the ground and will take advantage of savings whenever they can, even a practice that is looked at by some as extremely pedestrian – couponing.
Hilary Swank may be a two-time Oscar winner but that doesn’t stop her from making good decisions on her budget. For example, she says that she goes to the big box stores for essentials like toothpaste and toilet paper, because she can buy it in bulk.
Sarah Michelle Gellar may have found fame in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and getting raves for her new series Ringer but she still proudly says that she uses coupons for many of her purchases – from buying groceries to getting her clothes dry cleaned.
Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Tim Hasselbeck is big on collecting coupons. His wife, The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, has declared in the media that she married “a coupon guy.” Being an athlete he probably uses Under Armour Coupon Codes.
Renee Zellweger is one of America’s sweethearts and she’ll probably get more endearing when people find out that she runs a tight ship in her household in terms of budget. Renee has said that she was raised in a household that is very frugal and it is something that she has imbibed still practice to this day.
Halle Berry is another Oscar winner that knows how to take care of her wealth. She’s proud to say that she is very frugal and is always trying to save.
