The “Check It Out” rapper tells the mag how her first manager told her not to be funny and that she, “shouldn’t sound smart.” The nerve! Today Apple’s Steve Jobs unveiled some new, exciting gadgets and updates—iTunes 10!— that will no doubt revolutionize our lives yet again (and will hopefully not need a bumper case to work properly). Following the exciting tech news, Coldplay’s Chris Martin did an unveiling of his own with a song called “Wedding Bells”. Jump below for an intimate performance and a few very witty Apple jokes from the the “Clocks” singer.
The British singer clowned around while kicking off his set by doing his best impersonation the Apple’s CEO. Chris described his song as, “Coldplay version 2.6…It has a lot of features. It features seven different kinds of chord…It’s in the chord of I minor,” Get it: iPhone, iPod, iPad? The crooner then transitioned into the melancholy song—mentioning that he’s unsure will ever end up on a future album. Below take a listen, for the first time–and the last time?– to “Wedding Bells”.
Word on the street is that Martin is first on the list for the yet to be created iPhone 5, in exchange for lending “Viva La Vida” to an iPod commercial, doing this gig and naming his daughter after Jobs’ company—okay, so we made that up.

Here’s a peep at Rihanna’s wax figure for Madame Tussauds in Washington D.C.. Starting today, the statue of the Rated R singer will be displayed alongside the likes Madonna, the Jonas Brothers and even Barack Obama. Though it bears an amazing likeness to the Barbados pop star, we couldn’t help but notice that RiRi’s signature tattoos are missing from her wax clone—though to be fair Rihanna gets inked so often there’s no way the museum could possibly keep up. John Mayer happened to come across a Huffington Post article in which it was reported that he and ex Jennifer Aniston may be dating again. Mayer isn’t exactly a shy guy, and instead of shrugging it off as another inaccurate gossip story about his love life, the singer responded via an incensed Tumblr post. Don’t get John Mayer angry! You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry!
Here’s the quote HuffPo originally posted:
“I believe in second chances!” [Mayer] said. “You might have been a pain in the ass the last time around, but you can still start over again from home base. Next time you get a text from the one you love just text back ‘come over’ – no matter what happened in the past. If you really love someone, just tell them and be with them.”
According to Mayer, the above quote is “fabricated” and “misleading.”
“Huffington Post, this is reporting?” he begins, just getting started. “How do you pay your writers now, in Silly Bandz? Do you meet your sources in a malt shoppe?”
“I don’t think I ever said ‘I believe in second chances!’ but I can’t be 100 percent sure, as it’s possible I could have accidentally said something succinctly and to the point,” he continues. He then explains that the next two sentences in the quote are pulled from two different songs, “Half Of My Heart” and “Edge Of Desire”—both of which were performed at two different points during his Hollywood Bowl concert.
But oh, there’s more!
“The reason I’m calling you out instead of all the other magazines that make stories up out of thin air is that In Touch and Star Magazine aren’t concurrently writing pieces about Pat Tillman or WikiLeaks. Those other rags know who they are, and even if they’re obnoxious, I’d rather have to live with them because they (and the rest of the world) know where they stand, which doesn’t make them one tenth as dangerous as you are. You’re a stripper wearing reading glasses. Or maybe you’re an insolvent law student willing to dance for a few extra dollars. Either way, it’s uncomfortable to watch you try to wrap yourself around a pole when you have that C-Span scar.”
He ends his biting post by suggesting how they may update their story with his response and a new headline: “JOHN MAYER SLAMS HUFFPO: ‘GO F**K YOURSELF!’”
HuffPo updated their article with Mayer’s retort, along with an update that “the first quote mentioned in the original post was not initially attributed as it should have been,” and that it originally came from a site called the Express, a U.K. news outlet.
We’re not always on board with what comes out of John Mayer’s mouth—sexual napalm, anybody?—but good for him for speaking up when a news agency gets it way wrong. Maybe Mayer should go bitch at the people at the Express, too. He can send them a link to this video!

On the rising success of their smash single “Fly Like A G6″, Far East Movement is finally ready for a proper takeoff. The band just announced a full tour with “Cooler Than Me” singer–and Popping Up artist–Mike Posner for a 30 stop Up In The Air tour. And (for anyone who hasn’t been poking around on the Robyn reflippers‘ Facebook page), here’s your first look at the L.A. hip-hop collective’s major label debut, Free Wired. Click below for a better look at the album art and to see when they’ll be touching down in a city near you.
We’re assuming the tour name is a clever play on the L.A. rappers’ hit “Fly Like A G6″ and Posner’s debut album title, 31 Minutes To Takeoff.

Britney Spears uploaded another twitpic of her visit to the set of Glee, but this time she’s getting into character—and that character would be Madonna. Brit and Heather Morris, who plays Glee’s dimwitted Cheerio Brittany, recreate the “Me Against The Music” video, with Spears stepping into Madonna’s all-white outfit. The celebrated pop star captioned this pic, “All my GLEEKERS in the crowd, Grab a partner take it down”—but we think you can do better.
