Actor Dennis Hopper is divorcing his wife of 14 years, while reportedly on his deathbed with prostate cancer. Read more on this sad news below.

The National Enquirer has reported Dennis Hopper filed divorce papers this week to his wife of 14 years.

But why would Dennis Hopper file for divorce from his wife while dying of cancer? Some sources say that Dennis has become “mentally incapacitated” due to the medications he is taking for pain.

Others say it’s all about the money:

“It’s truly a tragedy, and sadly it’s all about the money and who inherits what. This is about getting Victoria out of the will, nothing more, nothing less.”

Los Angeles court records show Dennis Hopper, 73, filed for divorce from wife Victoria citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Hopper and Victoria have one daughter together named Galen, 6.  Hopper is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.

Dennis Hopper and Victoria have been married for 14 years.

This was Hopper’s fifth marriage. He was previously married to Brooke Hayward, Michelle Phillips, Daria Halprin and Katherine LaNasa.
