Bruno Mars is looking quite dapper in his photo spread for InSyle‘s February 2013 issue. The Unorthodox Jukebox crooner poses for photographer Kai Z. Feng for the magazine’s aptly titled “Man In Style” feature. The hit maker tells the women’s mag that he’s in “beast mode” now when it comes to women and dating, but still seems pretty down to Earth; describing his typical first date as “the movies or to the beach and then dinner”.

As for the reason you so often find the pop star working a stylish fedora? Bruno explains that when the pompadour he’s been rocking since he was four-years-old in favor of the shower-and-go look he found that “curly hair is a pain”. And here we thought the “Locked Out Of Heaven” singer was trying to be a trendsetter.
