Britney Spears is the focus of a 90-minute documentary coming to E! next month. I Am Britney Jean will premiere December 22 at 8 p.m., just a handful of days before the star’s two-year Las Vegas residency begins. So while it won’t contain any of her Vegas prep (rehearsals for that begin in early December), the film is billed as “an intimate look at one of the most overexposed yet under-revealed stars of today as she faces one of her biggest challenges ever while finishing her album, shooting videos, doing press — and being a mom.”
It’ll be the capper to a big December for the star, with her eighth album Britney Jean dropping on the third. The doc is directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (Becoming Chaz, In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye) and produced by World of Wonder (RuPaul’s Drag Race, Million Dollar Listing).
