Danny Cahill, the Oklahoma land surveyor and musician, lost a whopping 239 lbs to be crowned The Biggest Loser Winner for Season 8.
The finale had all the season’s contestants back for their last time on the scales and Allison Sweeney revealed the identity of the contestant chosen by America to compete in the finale. The lady chosen was Amanda Arlauskas, who became a finalist along with Rudy Pauls and Danny Calhill .
Here was the break-down:
And the weight loss results after seven months of sweat and tears:
* Amanda lost 87 lbs – from 250 lbs to 163 lbs ( 34.8% of her total body weight)
* Rudy lost 234 lbs – from 442 lbs to 208 lbs. ( 52.94% of his total body weight)
* Danny lost 239 lbs. — from 430 lbs to 191 lbs. (55.58 % of her total body weight)
“Rudy has been my biggest inspiration. I spent a lot of time at the ranch trying to catch this guy,” Danny stated before finding out that he was the Biggest Loser.
Danny Cahill won and received the $250,000 prize and the title of The Biggest Loser. And previously eliminated contestant Rebecca Meyer won the at-home weight loss prize of $100,000. Rebecca lost a total of 139 pounds.
