The Big and Rich singer and Joan were married last December at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Friends, family, and fans were very surprised because the couple kept their engagement a secret.

“You’ve got to keep some things to yourself if you want to protect your sanity,” John Rich told The Boot back in March, when asked why he kept his wedding out of the public eye. “I want to keep my family from media sharks who just want to take a bite out of your ass any chance they get. They’re welcome to anything I’ve got in the music world, but when it comes to my family, that’s off limits.”
