After several false alarms and rumors, Beyonce has checked into a New York City hospital to deliver her first child, according to several news sources including the New York Daily News. The superstar and recent Glamour cover girl reportedly checked into Lennox Hill Hospital on Manhattan’s Upper East Side under the name Ingrid Jackson, and rented out the hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million. Apparently that’s how much it costs to have a child of destiny. Details below.
There were several indications of unusual activity at the hospital, including the sight of security guards patrolling the area on Saturday night, according to the Daily News. Lennox Hill also blacked out its surveillance cameras and windows in preparation for her delivery, ABC News reports. If anyone sees an ice cream pull up, we’ll know its for someone else, because Beyonce has maintained a strictly healthy diet in advance of giving birth.
The (imminent) birth of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s first child comes less than a week after the most recent burst of rumors that she had given birth. (That round was shut down when her sister Solange Knowles tweeted on New Year’s Day that Beyonce was “THE cutest pregnant woman ever!”). Before that, there was the rumor that the whole pregnant was in fact a sham — a notion that was revealed as ridiculous by Beyonce’s video greeting from the set of “Countdown”. Now it appears we’ll finally have pretty damn irrefutable evidence that she’s had a bun in the oven ever since she announced it at the MTV Video Music Awards last August.
The Grammys may have snubbed her, but she may just have something much more important to celebrate. Get your #beyoncebabynames ready…
