Matthew and Celestine “Tina” Knowles, the parents of Beyonce and Solange Knowles, filed for divorce on November 11, 2009 after 29 years of marriage. Read more on the Knowles’ divorce below!

The Knowles’ cited “growing apart” as their reason for divorcing. But the true reason is Matthew Knowles’ affair and a paternity suit that was filed in October.

The affair happened with California costume designer and small time actress, Alexsandra Wright.  And nWright has claimed that Mathew Knowles is the father of her child that is due in the Spring.

Tina and Matthew have been very involved in their daughters’ lives and helping with their careers. Matthew has been Beyonce’s manager since before Destiny’s Child and Tina has designed the costumes.

Wow! Twenty-nine years of marriage is a long time huh?
