NBC’s Entertainment Co-Chairman Ben Silverman is leaving his job after two years with the network. Read more on Ben Silverman’s departure from NBC below.
Ben Silverman will be leaving NBC and will form a new company with Barry Diller’s IAC/InterActiveCorp that will produce and distribute programs for television, the web and mobile devices.
Silverman came to NBC two years ago as a producer of television shows like “The Office” and “Ugly Betty.” Marc Graboff was the other c0-chairman alongside Silverman.
NBC Universal said Silverman will stay on for seeral weeks to aid in launching NBC’s fall schedule.
Graboff will stay on as chairman but will be under Jeff Gaspin, who was promoted to chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment. Gaspin will be over the broadcast network as well as its cable networks, including USA, SyFy, Bravo, Oxygen and Oxygen.
