Grammy award winner Ben Harper and his wife Laura Dern are getting a divorce. Ben Harper filed legal documents this week to end the couples five-year marriage.

According to court documents the divorce is ending with “irreconcilable differences”  and the couple have been separated since January 2010.

TMZ snoops are reporting that they have been:

“Living and traveling together throughout the year and were even intimate as recently as last week.”

Ben Harper has also asked an L.A. court to deny spousal support to Laura, while asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two children.

Ben and Laura have been married since 2005.
