Bebe Rexha is definitely a diva to watch in 2014. She is currently making major waves on top 40 radio as the featured artist on Cash Cash‘s “Take Me Home” and released one of 2013′s best (and most under-appreciated) pop singles with the soaring “Comeback Kids”.
In addition to penning brilliant tunes for herself, the stunning 23-year-old is also something of a gun songwriter having crafted “Glowing” for Nikki Williams and “Like A Champion” for Selena Gomez. She really hit the jackpot, however, when a demo called “Monster Under My Bed” was picked up by Eminem and Rihanna, and retooled into “The Monster”.
Bebe’s original version of the chart-topping smash is instantly recognizable — the chorus is identical — but her eerie verses add depth and context to the snippet used in the finished version. Penning “Love The Way You Lie” for Eminem and Rihanna was Skylar Grey‘s ticket to solo success. Will Bebe be as lucky? Listen to her demo after the jump.
