Avril Lavigne has filed for divorce in a Los Angeles Court from husband Deryck Jason Whibley, the lead singer of Sum 41. Read more on Avril and Deryck’s divorce below.
Rumors have been circulating that Avril and Deryck were having problems and were possibly divorcing.
The couple married quite young back in July 2006 and have no children together. Lavigne cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
Avril Lavigne is asking for the court to block Whibley from receiving spousal support.
