Howard Stern’s sidekick Artie Lange was hospitalized last week with an unknown illness. But Page 6 is reporting that Artie Lange attempted suicide by stabbing himself nine times! Read more on Artie Lange below.
We reported that Artie Lange had been hospitalized last week but there was no word on the reason for his hospitalization.
The troubled comics publicist had confirmed he was in the hospital but did not elaborate. Now we see why!
The Post’s Page 6 reports that Artie had stabbed himself nine times in an attempted suicide and was found by his poor mother!
Lange’s mother called 911 on Saturday after she went to his Hoboken apartment and found her son all bloody. Artie sustained six “hesitation wounds” and three deep plunges.
Artie seems like a great guy and Howard Stern talked about Artie this week on the a ir. “We all have our demons,” Stern said of his friend. “Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He’s a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don’t forget how great he is.”
Artie, 42, had been gone from the Stern show for over a month, but Stern said Lange isn’t leaving the show and said he is “a tremendous contributor.”
