Get ready, Arianators: Ariana Grande will release her sophomore album, My Everything, on August 25. The news arrives after Grande launched two Twitter countdowns, one for her next single (“Break Free”) and one for (as we know now) My Everything, presumably, to build up anticipation. But when the “Problem” star revealed one detail after another – the title, the release date, a way fans can hear her new music before My Everything drops – as if she could hardly contain her excitement.
First, Grande teased a snippet from her “Break Free” video. An hour later, she revealed the album title. Then she announced that fans who pre-order the album will gain access to an exclusive concert stream, where she’ll perform the songs prior to My Everything‘s release. Finally, she elaborated on all that to Ryan Seacrest, while verifying that yes, the “Break Free” clip is inspired by Barbarella and also, after whispering like Ying Yang Twins on “Problem,” Big Sean will be featured on a song titled “Best Mistake.”
