Backstreet Boys singer A.J. McLean and his girlfriend Rochelle Deanna become engaged while he celebrated his birthday at a Las Vegas club. Read more on A.J. McLean’s engagement below.

An eyewitness said that McLean, 32, proposed on stage at the Hard Rock Hotel’s Wasted Space nightclub on Friday evening.

“He got up on stage and the DJ turned the music off. He asked her to come up on stage and he got down on his knee and she squatted down with him,” the eyewitness said. “He asked her and she said yes and hugged him. He took the ring out of his pocket and put it on her hand.”

A.J. reportedly purchased the engagement ring at the hotel’s jewelry store just hours before the proposal.

“AJ dropped down to one knee and said that they had been dating for a long time and [he] wanted to know if she would marry him,” a source tells Us. “Of course she said ‘yes,’ and they left the club shortly after this happened.”

Congrats to McLean and Deanna on their engagement!
